Softer Chase
Softer Chase
~Miss A
As the summer breeze ends, pulling in a drizzle of emotions,
I imagine, those moments I stole from life itself,
Teleporting myself, to the scribbled sketches of those rocks,
We sat on, by the fading twilight, while the moon struggled,
To claim authority, against the clouded sky, obsess over itself,
Posing over it's reflection in the ocean, while stressing regime,
I just kept staring, enchanted by it's war cry, over and over,
I let it wash through, dwelling my jaw over your shoulder, lost.
We didn't need words, our conversations, unserious & ridiculous,
Taken abide to music of strangers, as of hypothermia gonna get me,
Needed a blanket, maybe some fire, some warmth to keep me comforted,
Stay there a little longer, this cozy gently growing into an abyss,
Suddenly this this cold is taken over by a thud of harsh rain,
The tide and the clouds become one, the moon pushed aside,
We shout and laugh, so noisy, as we barely make to minimum shelter,
Awkwardly hugging the wall, as the cats and dogs washed our feet.
And the best warmth we bejewel, is back against back, getting crowded,
The boys trying to bat an eye, ready to lend handkerchief for coverage,
As stupid as it gets, as wild and funny it gets, and everything makes us crack,
See a frog, see a crab, oh lord that's a hell of a auto driver,
One word, and every word, pushed us to gravity, heavy and weary for a breath,
It made the fanatics so awkward, felt teased, they ran, shying away,
And we decide, the rain is taking a breather as well, might as well rush,
Oops! So wrong, we run, we sprint, that cloud must have been really jealous.
We did admire the moon in its sin for-sure, but hang in there,
I'm a superior lover of thunderstorms as well, oh-baby, oh-baby,
We make it to a cafe, the one that allowed it's guests dripping,
And maybe a little inappropriate, with the cleavage gone see through,
It's all a rebellion, get me some creme of mushroom soup in cute candlelight,
Soft pale vintage lights, warm food, drinks, rain and ocean clashing,
Totally out of a book, won't you say, brushing our hairs though our fingers,
Untidy but earnest, midnight but unmistaken, ourself and ourself.
We can't go back yet, the night is young, so are we,
You'll forget, as I will always dairy, it was esrier to travel without anything,
Knowing you'd have everything I'd need, my escape my fantasy,
After the rain, we'd light up secrets, go back for the ocean again,
Have some tea, that we'd align, was always made so poorly,
No plans, no place, just be wherever our hearts said, everything was okay,
We had no solid goals, just softer chases, here and there,
A piece of calm, with its boundaries set on fire crackers.
Our a little more, a few more minutes, turned into getting home back at four,
Drenched to core, baked in sand, with sea-shells in our pockets,
And some red and pink stones, treasures we found on the beach,
A mix of lana del rey, and some super bad reel trend boasting our heads,
Those dancing palm trees, and fallen branches of happy tree dances,
The dawn slightly approaching, our spines warm from margarita,
I don't wanna enter through my door yet, I wish a walk on the empty road,
Tired af, and with the hatred for walking, yet walk four kilometres.
I get you your flowers, lilies, and roses, a bouquet for no reason,
Oh! Through all that rain, thunderstorm, moonshine, sun is the problematic one,
The gentle sunshine harsh over fresh bath cold, makes us twist and turn,
Please let my eyes know, it's okay to sleep, it's important to sleep,
Sunshine does not mean sleeping a wasted second,
Let my brain know, it's okay to lose a moment, I should not beg forever-awaken,
Though that was one crisp reason, for my specialization of vampire,
For they needn't sleep, the super natural power that made my head point blank.
The pain starts then, into a war of hormones to sleep then,
You're here, how could I lose this, lose this moment,
I only understand now, my obsession, and why I need to take a step back,
This softer chase, not for any of those moments, it's for you, the biggest cause,
How could I leave myself unchecked, it's a quicksand I can't survive,
You presence makes me high, what is this adranaline rush,
It's so sensitive and innocent, I get my head off those scrambled lines,
I still go back to you, how, and why every now and then.
